Hoosier Dentist

Hoosier Dentist is a student organization for predental students. Hoosier Dentist provides volunteer activities and shadowing experience for students preparing for dental school. As a member you will be involved with volunteer activities, fundraisers, and meetings. Members are given the opportunity to shadow with a local dentist or in a dental laboratory to gain experience in the dental field.

Students must submit an application and have an interview, in addition to meeting the minimum requirements for membership listed below.

If you would like to get involved with Hoosier Dentist please watch for an announcement about the Hoosier Dentist Call-Out meeting on the HPPLC predental email list at the beginning of the fall semester (subscribe to the list here). Minimum Requirements

  1. 3.0 GPA
  2. Must have completed or be enrolled in 12 credit hours of predental coursework.
  3. Must: attend at least two meetings per semester, participate in one community service event, and be involved in one fundraiser. Students must fulfill these requirements during the first semester before being placed for shadowing the following semester.
