About HPPLC Services

The Health Professions and Prelaw Center's primary objective is to assist IU Bloomington students who are preparing for a career in law, medicine and other health professions.

The HPPLC staff serves prospective, current and continuing students and alumni across campus. We provide guidance every step of the way by assisting students with choosing a major, selecting coursework, and preparing applications for professional programs. We encourage them to become strong applicants through our individual and group advising sessions and by offering application and personal statement workshops, by bringing admission representatives to our campus for to meet with students, and by educating them about the importance of professional development.

Our office consists of four full-time advisors, a part-time minority pre-law advisor (who is also a student in the IUB law school), a recommendation secretary, reception staff and office coordinator - all committed to assisting students in becoming successful applicants to their programs of choice.
